You have done the research, got the quote, and you have scheduled your install for your new air conditioner! Get ready for all the benefits your new system will provide, including higher efficiency, lower energy bills, and improved comfort. Unfortunately, for many homeowners, install day can be filled with anxiety. To put your mind at ease, H.J. Faust, Inc. Heating and Air Conditioning is here to help you be prepared for your A/C installation day.

Preparing for Your Southeastern Wisconsin Install

In order to be prepared for install day, it is necessary to plan ahead. With a little preplanning, our install team can work faster and more efficiently so you can enjoy comfort sooner. Here are a few steps you can take to ensure a hassle-free AC install day.

• Be Present During Install Day – We would like you to be as present as possible during install day in case any questions arise or you need a demo. If you do need to leave the premises, please let one of our install technicians know how long you may be gone. This helps our team plan the install around your schedule.
• Put Pets Away – We appreciate it if you are able to put your pets somewhere outside of our working area. During the course of an install, we are entering and exiting the home, moving heavy equipment around, and making loud noises. For the safety of our team and your animals, we would like to see pets in a closed-off section of your home to keep them out of the work area.
• Childcare – If you plan to have your children at home, we ask that they also be kept away from the working area for their safety.
• Clear the Way – Our install teams require a clear path to your existing air conditioning unit or where the new unit will be installed. Two ways you can help are by unlocking gates and trimming back overgrown bushes. This is a great way to kick off your spring cleaning!

What to Expect on Install Day

H.J. Faust, Inc. will be communicating with you before your install day. We will send you a reminder the day before your appointment.

About 30 minutes before we arrive, we suggest that you start securing your pets and ensuring your children or other family members are safely outside of the working area.

You can expect our team to arrive on time to install your new air conditioner and the required parts. To kick off your install day, our NATE-certified team will introduce themselves and give you a brief explanation of the process.

Once your new air conditioning system is up and running, the install team will perform a final quality check. If you have opted for a new thermostat, the team will program it and show you how to use it. Finally, we will clean up the work space and leave you to relax in your newly found comfort.

How to Take Care of Your New System

Like all machines, wear and tear begins almost immediately. Mark your calendar to schedule a tune-up in one year. Maintenance on your HVAC system is required to keep your warranty intact. Additionally, seasonal tune-ups help your system run more efficiently and can reduce future problems and breakdowns.
